The Apex Legends Global Series is Back

The Charlotte Phoenix Apex Legends roster will be making their debut in the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) this fall. The Charlotte Phoenix parted ways with our previous roster of Pride, Mercy, and Bronzey at the conclusion of the Championship in June.

The new format of the ALGS accounts for 3 local area network (LAN) tournaments with the top teams in the world. Each split leading up to playoffs that will consist of 40 teams per region and five (5) weeks of competition in a double round robin format. Each team will play a total of thirty-six (36) games with the top ranking teams advancing to the split one playoffs. You can check out more about the announcement on EA’s post.

More About the Roster

Our new Charlotte Phoenix Apex Legends roster for this season of ALGS will be MrGreekGod, Stink, and Kotigami. Each of these players have been playing together since January of this year. Their previous name was the Wallie Catchers and they qualified and competed within the ALGS Online tournaments throughout the year. Ultimately, the team qualified for the Championship in June and placed 16th at that event.

Since their finish at the Championship, the Charlotte Phoenix roster has been competing in a weekly tournament, Esports Arena Series E, as well as community held events and tournaments. This team has been relentlessly preparing for the ALGS season and their time has finally come. You can watch each week as our roster takes on the other top teams in the region on our players’ Twitch channels as well as the Apex Legends professional stream.
