Charlotte, NC — May 16, 2020

After previously announcing the hiring of former Paladins World Champion Justin “Metapusher” Wilkes as the VALORANT Head Coach, the Charlotte Phoenix are thrilled to announce the roster for their competitive VALORANT team.

Our roster includes Marco “Flowers” Sotelo, Adam “Spirit” Wills, Corey “ChurmZ” Koch, Justin “Ksiaze” Goszczynski, and William “Sh0ts” Griffith, many of whom are former professional players in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), H1Z1, and other first person shooter (FPS) games.

“I’m extremely excited for the future of our new VALORANT team,” says Head Coach Justin “Metapusher” Wilkes. “We spent a month trying out a wide array of professional FPS players and ended up with a roster that can compete with the best in the game. The roster has a healthy mix of FPS backgrounds, and I’m confident we’ll bring home tournament victories to Charlotte in the near future.”

“VALORANT is a title we are looking forward to dominating,” adds Josh Richardson, co-founder of the Charlotte Phoenix. “Yogi and Metapusher have gone above and beyond to get us the top talent. We believe we will compete at the top of the food chain with the team we signed.”

The VALORANT team just played in the CLG Blitz Cup VALORANT Pro Tournament on May 15, and they are playing today, May 16, in the Road to MomoConline Qualifier. Follow us on social media to find out when the team is playing live and to access exclusive content.
