There is no “I” in team, but there is in Racing

The Charlotte Phoenix are proud to announce our entrance into iRacing. Our debut in the space will be in the Xfinity series with James Bickford, a local iRacing professional within the circuit. James will be competing in the Monday Night Racing League, a professional esports iRacing League featuring top NASCAR drivers, crew members, and media members throughout motorsports. Races will be held every Monday and produced by Podium eSports on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook.

iRacing is a growing space with more professional and semi-professional drivers joining each season. With a large bump in the past year, and many professional NASCAR races being held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the popularity and viewership of the various iRacing leagues have been growing significantly. The Charlotte Phoenix are extremely excited to venture into this growing space with James leading the way.

James was born in Napa, California and has had a lifelong passion for racing. Starting off his career in 2010 at the age of 11, James has been racing his entire life. The first professional season James raced was 2014 inside the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. Some of James’s accolades include Sunoco Rookie of the Year, NASCAR K&N Pro Series Winner, and NASCAR Next Alumni. His 24 top 10, 19 top 5, and 2 first place finishes put him in a prime position to take on the Monday Night Racing league.

Monday Night Racing was established in 2020 and has advanced to one of the top iRacing leagues in North America. This professional esports iRacing League features some of the best drivers, crew members, and media members throughout the motorsport scene. This league has seen a myriad of professional drivers including Kyle Busch, Will Power, Jeff Green, and Dale Enheart Jr. You can catch Monday Night Racing every week starting November 1st on their production team’s, Podium Esports, Twitch Channel.
